It's relatively slow to boot and shutdown by current standards, but everything else about this tablet remains fine for my browsing and blog reading. Although Asus stopped upgrades after ICS, the developer community continues to provide updated ROMs.

Overall Review: I bought this almost 2 years ago for $375 and I just completed another upgrade to Androiid 4.4.2 KitKat. Very low volume from speakers and headphones. Requires special USB cable and proprietary charger, but a small negative given the really fast charging afforded by its 15V charger.
Good display.Ĭons: Relatively slow by modern (2014) standards. Like I said before 3 times the charm I guess

Overall Review: I may have to get another one so i can do something with the keyboard I have hoping 3 time the charm, I do Like ASUS and the Transformer is not a bad tablet but after the update it works like trash. I have returned them both back and now I have a Keyboard dock and cover that I cannot get rid of. after a day of not doing anything it started to re-start it's self again. but then it froze for the whole day I even try to do a hard restart and restore but nothing. The 2nd one I had was fine for a day after the update.
it was well put together.Ĭons: I have gone though 2 of these already, because of the auto update to Ice Cream Sandwich, both times after the update it started to randomly restarting, it got old real fast when trying to studying or just playing around on it. After playing around with it and started to use it for Textbooks for College classes I started to like it. Pros: I got this Tablet to Root and put Plasma Active on it, found out that the one I had could not be rooted so I had to deal with the Gutted Linux Android. No need for a laptop or netbook as this bad boy does it ALL !īuy this tablet and you will become overwhelmed with awesomeness. When you add the docking station keyboard to this tablet it "transforms" into a netbook! I made a special trip to a local electronics store to try it and it is brilliant. The only other choice would of been the Galaxy tab but this has more options than a galaxy! Overall Review: I was skeptical to buy this as it is refurbed but boy was I wrong ! This arrived in MINT CONDITION.and if compared to a regular transformer you wouldn't know the difference.Ĭomparing the feedback from all the tablets here and feature lists, this is by far the best option.

Holds a charge for 10 hours with intensive playĮndless uses when mixed with ANDROID marketĬons: Keyboard dock is not included but not worth taking eggs away as it is sold separately anyways. The case protected the tablet from all the rough tumbling. I have no problem giving it to my 3 yrs old son or 2 yrs old nephew. Overall Review: Bought a Gumdrop case, and this tablet becomes very robust. Having said that, I rarely need loud sound anyway (mostly on mute) that this con doesn't bother me much. I am not sure whether this is default for this tablet (or any tablet for that matter because Ipad is not that much louder either), or it is a problem that caused the tablet to be refurbished at first. My Motorola Attrix phone is louder compared to this table. Most apps ran with not much probleĬons: The speaker/sound was somewhat low. While it's a bit scary to pick up a refurb stuff, so far I have been lucky with all my refurb purchases. Service from Newegg is excellent as usual, I put the order in the morning and pick it up on the way home. The Asus Web Storage that came with it also offered built in Remote Desktop Connection which is very handy. Screen is responsive, bright and beautiful. Tried it out of the box (without updating to ICS), everything worked good. It turned out to be beyond my expectation that I'm considering buying a second one. After going through many reviews, I decided to go with this because the memory card option.Īs my first tablet buy, I figured if I don't like Android - at least I haven't invested too much. I was considering between Transformer and Ipad2-32GB. This is my first tablet, though I have plenty experience with Ipad through work and friends. Pros: One of the best buy I ever did from Newegg.
